A gracious mansion, that once welcomed dignitaries and chief executives, is renovated and restored for those wanting to retreat into the walls of a historic Southern mansion. Inn at Burwell Place has an outstanding reputation that will make your stay in Salem one to remember! Restored to the glory of a by-gone era, the mansion has been decorated by nationally acclaimed interior designer, Lawrence Cummings, and antique walnut and cherry furnishings adorn each room. The Inn may be rented for wedding receptions and Christmas parties. The Inn provides catering for these events. Burwell Place is proud to offer its guests a totally smoke-free environment. No hot food service is available for overnight guests. A European continental breakfast in a picnic basket is placed outside each guest room in the morning, with whole fresh fruit, fresh baked pastries, biscotti, and nuts. We can assist you in selecting from an assortment of local eateries. |
